My 22nd Birthday ft Cryotherapy, Bulletproof, & an Enchilada

It’s very unlike me to do a “this is what I did recently” kind of post, but I feel like my blog has slowly been transitioning more in that direction, and I feel like certain occasions do warrant it. Let’s be honest – my daily life isn’t that exciting. But sometimes it actually is, and I want to share it with you. This is the kind of post where you really get to know me as just… a regular person. Ya know? Plus, I got a ton of questions on Instagram about what I was doing, so I thought it would be easier…

Graduating from College, My Health Journey, & Where I Go From Here

As I’m writing this, it’s my first Friday being officially done with college, and I’ve never felt more content. It’s technically no different than most Friday nights for me – I’m just hanging out with a face mask on, winding down with some candles, and blogging – but it is different. It still hasn’t completely hit me that I’m done with undergrad, and I don’t know how long it’ll take for that to truly sink in. I’ve been walking around the past few days feeling like I’m forgetting to do something, and feeling guilty that I’ve been letting myself “do whatever I want.” By that,…

Why You’ll Never Reach the Perfect Weight

Where did this obsession with reaching the “right” weight come from? It’s so ingrained in our society that I think most people don’t even realize the obsession is there. It’s so much a part of our culture, though, that it’s commonly assumed that everyone is trying to reach some kind of weight-related goal. That assumption? Not okay. Almost every single article I see in magazines and on popular websites has something to do with losing weight or reaching a body goal. Slim down, get that bikini body, eat for a slimmer waist, blah blah blah. What if someone doesn’t want to lose weight? What if (SHOCKER) someone wants…

Removing Triggers from Your Life

Recently I’ve felt like there are a lot of triggers around me. Everywhere seems to be a breeding ground for comparison. Real life interactions, TV, magazines, the Internet. Where it’s really intense, though, is social media. Social media is a double-edged sword. As much as I love the idea of getting to see BTS of people’s lives, sometimes it’s just too much information. Also, a lot of it is fake. BTS…or BS?! I’ve said it again and again, and I’m going to keep saying it until people actually process it and believe it. Listen to Instagram Lies on Actually Adultish – I rant about this problem on that episode. People…

2017 Goals. NOT Resolutions.

HAPPY 2017! I spent New Year’s Eve taking a super sweaty hot yoga class lead by Jordan, which was followed by a guided meditation lead by Sophie Jaffe. It was amazing. The entire night was extremely calming and enlightening, and being surrounded by so much positivity and love was the best way to bring in the new year. After the meditation, we journaled and set intentions, which got my mind racing. I journaled hard, and I really realized how much I want to accomplish in the next year. RESOLUTIONS. Not a fan. I wrote about it a little bit last year, but basically I think…
