Forced Relaxation is Good for the Soul

I have major stress problems. I’m basically a ball of anxiety. My life goal for the past 20 years has been to figure out a way to reduce that anxiety and just chill out. Although I definitely have not found a miracle cure to zap the stress leech permanently attached to my brain, I have gotten much closer to finding things that actually wind me down. When I’m bursting with stress, I’ve found that sometimes I have to force myself to relax. As in literally make an appointment for a planned time to calm down and do nothing. Or in my case, an appointment to nap. My waves of crazy anxiety usually…

Fall Favorites Tag!

The Fall Favorites tag has been floating around YouTube recently and I la-la-loooove it, so I thought I’d join in on the fun. A lot of these are torturously difficult because I can’t choose just one answer. I have commitment issues. So I put 2 things for most. Is that cheating? Don’t care! So here you have it — all my fall favorites on one epic page. EMWM: The October Movie Agenda

I take the holidays very seriously. The holiday season (we’re talking October to January) is a magical time that should be loved and appreciated in every way possible – through food, drinks, decor, clothes, themed activities, and, most of all, MOVIES! I’m a biiiiiig movie-watcher. Probably my favorite thing to do in my spare time. Buuuuut I tend to watch the same movies over, and over, and over, and over again. If it’s a quality film or has some sentimental value, I won’t get tired of it. This is true especially for holiday movies. Every year, when October 1st hits, I put together my movie agenda…

Cozy Candles, Cozy Life

FALL IS OFFICIALLY HEREEEEE! Can you feel my excitement? The beginning of fall signifies many things, but perhaps the most important is that it’s time for CANDLE SHOPPING! I’m completely obsessed with candles. They change lives. I generally only bring them out during fall and winter, when the cool weather practically begs for a cozy candle glow paired with a warm scent to hug your soul. Candles have a magical ability to make everything feel calmer, and to make a house feel like a home. They’re just welcoming. I typically go through two candle rounds – fall and winter, AKA Thanksgiving & Christmas (the…

New York, I Love You

These past few weeks have been absolutely crazy. With no time to stop, I’ve desperately been trying to catch up on much-needed sleep/ lower my stress levels due to personal problems. I just got back from an incredible trip to New York, and I’m still trying to process the fact that it even happened. Why do the best vacations feel like they last 4 seconds long? TAKE ME BACK PLEASE! It was my first time in the Big Apple (so I guess I popped my Big Apple cherry?), and I was thoroughly impressed. I’ve always wanted to visit NY, and I obviously had an…
